I have been involved in the arts in one for or another for essentially my entire life, and even received an art degree with emphasis in art history.
I began to realize a deep love for photography in particular several years ago, but I learned to shoot on an old metal-body Pentax K-1000 SLR with a 50mm lens as a kid. Nearly a decade ago, I finally got a modern DSLR, a Canon SL1. I've since upgraded to a Nikon D810, but what I learned on that SL1 was indispensable, and many of the images in the gallery here were shot on that camera. The only lens beyond the kit lens that I ever bought for that camera was a good old Nifty Fifty, the Canon 50mm f/1.8. Even after moving to full frame, 50mm f/1.8 has been my workhorse lens. I lived for about a year and a half traveling the country in a fifth wheel RV. Getting to see and experience so much was an incredibly enriching and valuable experience.
As of now, I am based in Longmont, Colorado.
